About - Dr. Shalini Mohan
Dr Shalini Mohan completed her Senior Residency / Senior Research associateship in Phacoemulsification/Glaucoma/Cornea from world renowned AIIMS, New Delhi. She joined GSVM Medical College in 2009 and started EyeBank, Glaucoma and Cornea superspeciality clinic at the same institution. She did first corneal transplantation surgery at GSVM Medical college and has done around 700 corneal transplants till now. She also started lamellar corneal surgery (using single cornea in two patients) first time in Kanpur and surrounding districts.
She has bagged numerous awards like FCCI Flo Award (UP), Kanpur Ratna, BC Roy Gold Medal, Mohan Lal Gold Medal, Dr PK Pandey Awrard, VN Raizada Gold Medal etc.
She is regular faculty for classes of Undergraduates and post graduates at National & State level. She has also guided 44 thesis for post graduate students.

ABOUT DOCTOR
Dr. Shalini Mohan is pioneer in starting topical Phacoemulsification (Cataract Surgery Without Injection) at GSVM Medical College, Kanpur. She is also an expert in performing corneal transplants and glaucoma surgery.
Dr. Shalini Mohan has more than hundred national & international publications and have authored chapters in text books. She has 243 citations in various journals and has presented more than 390 research papers in various national & international conferences like American Academy (Chicago), European Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery (Stockholm), World Ophthalmology Congress (Singapore), SAARC Academy International congress of Glaucoma surgery (Hongkong) etc.
